Mum needed care at very short notice, due to a recent illness that had set her on a downward spiral. After reading the amazing reviews we spoke to the Administrator. She was so helpful, warm and welcoming that we didn't hesitate to choose Nazareth Lodge for mum. The home does not have any of the typical odours, sometimes associated with care homes, it is spotless, the food is fresh, homemade and has certainly enticed mum into eating again. The staff are so caring, respectful and welcoming to residents and family. Mum is enjoying all the interaction and the trips out. It is so nice to see her bright and engaged again after such a short period of time. A weekly newsletter is sent to the relatives, which is so thoughtful, it makes us feel part of the home. We truly are blessed to have found the best care home in Dorset for our mum. Thank you Nazareth Lodge.

My mother is in her nineties and has spent more than four years at Nazareth Lodge, but being completely bedbound is sadly unable to take part in any of the activities and outings enjoyed by the more mobile residents.
As she is confined to her room, her family naturally has concerns about her morale; but we are very reassured by the unfailing kindness shown to her by every one of the staff: not just the carers, but the administrator, the cook - and even the cleaners and the maintenance man are always cheerful and chatty. Nazareth Lodge is a happy place: there is a lot of laughter here.
My father is being very well cared for and we have absolutely no cause for any complaint. The staff are wonderfully caring, patient and understanding. They always have time for each individual resident and for relatives, always ensuring that we, as visitors, are well looked after and are made to feel welcome. Nazareth Lodge prides itself on the emphasis placed in keeping and training its own staff and this shows in the quality of service and attitude of the staff towards residents and visitors.
She enjoyed many of the activities organised in the home and I smile at the memory of her being asked to hold back to allow others to answer some questions for the crossword etc!
Our friend has been a resident at Nazareth Lodge for over 2 years. We visit her regularly. During that time, we have been totally satisfied with the level of care she has received. The staff are very attentive and the food is good. Her room is modern and cleaned regularly. She is very contented and feels at home. I would have no hesitation in recommending Nazareth Lodge to others, as we have done in the past.
Mum has been a resident at the Nazareth family for two and a half years and our true appreciation for the love and the care for her is un-measurable. Without the dedication of every member of the caring Nazareth staff, dear mum would not be enjoying her life to the full as she is today.

My mother has lived at Nazareth Lodge for a year now and throughout that period she has received excellent care. The staff are kind and considerate the atmosphere is cosy and homely with plenty of social engagement and activities on offer and a beautiful garden to enjoy.
Nazareth Lodge - the place is so homely and very up-to-speed with regard to decor and furnishings without that horrid residential home feel. The biggest plus is the staff who are incredibly helpful and friendly but at the same time are professional. My Mum has been a resident for 18 months and a daycare visitor for 3 years and has always been so happy there.
My Dad spent a short time there and their care for him in his last days was exceptional he was very happy to be there and so well looked after.
I would thoroughly recommend Nazareth Lodge for your loved ones.
Overall Experience
Prior to my uncle's eventual arrival 10 weeks ago, the management of the home were superb in their support for us during a difficult time and arranging the transport from a hospital a few counties away. Thanks to the staff he has settled in well and we are pleased our initial very good impressions of the home have been borne out.
Nazareth Lodge offers a home-from-home family atmosphere with the greatest of care and consideration to its residents.
The home is always welcoming and warm, with a dedicated team who treats everyone as their dearest relative.
