Nazareth Lodge Residential Care Home

Nazareth Lodge is a purpose-built residential care home situated in the vibrant market town of Sturminster Newton in North Dorset, set in the middle of landscaped gardens and with unrivalled views of the church Nazareth Lodge provides an oasis of calm and beauty for those who need it, whilst a full program of activities, both within the home or the town, is available for those who want to stay more active.

The home is registered by the Care Quality Commission for 24 residents, which ensures that every resident's care is personalised specifically to them and that all residents receive the highest levels of care and attention possible.

Only a small percentage of care homes gain the Outstanding rating from the CQC so we are understandably very proud to have achieved this again for the second year in a row.

Nazareth Lodge's Firework Night

On 5th November we had our annual firework night. We had a bonfire where we had a Guy Fawkes that the residents had great pleasure in making. Most residents and their families gathered in the conservatory to watch the bonfire and our fireworks display. Staff and children also attended to enjoy the event. We all enjoyed burgers, hot dogs and a glass of mulled wine afterwards. All of the guests said that the display was very good and thoroughly enjoyed the annual get together.

Testimonials

I have spoken with my brother and sister and it goes almost without saying that we are extremely grateful to all the staff at Nazareth Lodge for the way in which they looked after our mother. We are not surprised by the award of an outstanding classification and no doubt a lot was due to the standard of care provided by the staff.

As a family we all know that everything after my father's death was handled brilliantly even down to a 'guard of honour' as his body left Nazareth Lodge.

Testimonials

My husband is already a resident and I have spent two weeks in respite care. I have been wonderfully cared for and feel I have recovered very quickly. I cannot fault the staff, who are so caring and gentle and always cheerful. The food is lovely, well cooked and presented. There are plenty of activities organised and outings arranged for mobile residents. This is an excellent care home and its awards are well deserved.

Testimonials

I have to thank you especially for the care and support you all gave my father in his last few days. I have related stories to friends with elderly parents that your night staff for instance were singing with him during the long hours of darkness. They couldn't believe it.
