Nazareth Lodge Residential Care Home

Nazareth Lodge is a purpose-built residential care home situated in the vibrant market town of Sturminster Newton in North Dorset, set in the middle of landscaped gardens and with unrivalled views of the church Nazareth Lodge provides an oasis of calm and beauty for those who need it, whilst a full program of activities, both within the home or the town, is available for those who want to stay more active.

The home is registered by the Care Quality Commission for 24 residents, which ensures that every resident's care is personalised specifically to them and that all residents receive the highest levels of care and attention possible.

Only a small percentage of care homes gain the Outstanding rating from the CQC so we are understandably very proud to have achieved this again for the second year in a row.

Nazareth Lodge encourages a wide range of activities and outings - although my mother seemed to spend most of her time getting her hair done and having massages!

As a family we all know that everything after my father's death was handled brilliantly even down to a 'guard of honour' as his body left Nazareth Lodge.

As a retired District Nurse of some years experience I was encouraged to discover such a well run home as Nazareth Lodge when we moved to the area some years ago.

Thank you to all the staff for a lovely Fine Dining Evening. What a wonderful event. Not only a delicious meal but a lovely opportunity to spend quality time with my Mum, other residents and their families. All the effort put in by staff is so very much appreciated.

Testimonials

Always my husband has received excellent care by cheerful, caring staff.
My needs have always been considered and a caring person has always been there when I have needed one.
Nobody wants to admit they cannot care for a loved one.
We are so lucky to have Nazareth Lodge who takes over so well.
Thank you all.

Mum was very happy here and the staff all helped to make her last few months the best they possibly could be. I really appreciate all the care and support for both Mum and myself and i cannot thank them enough.

Testimonials

I have to thank you especially for the care and support you all gave my father in his last few days. I have related stories to friends with elderly parents that your night staff for instance were singing with him during the long hours of darkness. They couldn't believe it.

Nazareth Lodge prides itself on the emphasis placed in keeping and training its own staff and this shows in the quality of service and attitude of the staff towards residents and visitors.

Testimonials

Nazareth Lodge offers a home-from-home family atmosphere with the greatest of care and consideration to its residents.
The home is always welcoming and warm, with a dedicated team who treats everyone as their dearest relative.

Testimonials

My mother is in her nineties and has spent more than four years at Nazareth Lodge, but being completely bedbound is sadly unable to take part in any of the activities and outings enjoyed by the more mobile residents.
As she is confined to her room, her family naturally has concerns about her morale; but we are very reassured by the unfailing kindness shown to her by every one of the staff: not just the carers, but the administrator, the cook - and even the cleaners and the maintenance man are always cheerful and chatty. Nazareth Lodge is a happy place: there is a lot of laughter here.

Testimonials

Prior to my uncle's eventual arrival 10 weeks ago, the management of the home were superb in their support for us during a difficult time and arranging the transport from a hospital a few counties away. Thanks to the staff he has settled in well and we are pleased our initial very good impressions of the home have been borne out.

Testimonials

I wanted to drop a quick note to say how much our students enjoyed their time at Nazareth Lodge last term - it was a great experience for them and something they'll remember for many years to come.  Please pass on our thanks to your staff for being so welcoming too.
